SOPHOMORE (2012): Spiritual and emotional leader of the offensive line who inspires teammates and coaches… Plays with phenomenal effort… Has potential to become dominant player with added weight and strength… Regular at center with 13 starts, missing only the Elon game… Earned second letter… Credited with more than 80 knockdowns, third-highest total on the team… Had double-figure knockdown games against Old Dominion (11), Georgia (13) and Appalachian State (10) with nine against Samford and eight at Furman… Factored in as anchor on offensive line as 2012 team accounted for single-season record 5,596 rushing yards and came within 34 yards of tying the single-season record for total offense (6,575 in 2002)… Helped Eagles dominate at line of scrimmage as Georgia Southern posted top rushing average in NCAA Division I (399.4 ypg) in 2012 and ninth-best average in NCAA Division I history… Representative of Georgia Southern Athletics’ Student-Athlete Advisory Board and a member of the Eagle Football team’s Leadership Council.

Gwinnett Touchdown Club's co-Offensive Lineman of the year... Earned Player of the Month honors on four occasions in the last two years... Starting center for the North team in the 2010 Georgia North-South All-Star game and Gwinnett All-Star team... All-County honorable mention in 2009... Was awarded with the "Honor, Courage and Commitment Award" from the United States Marine Corps.
