SOPHOMORE (2012): Did not participate in spring practice while recovering from an injury… Strong, smart defender who will provide depth at the end spot and benefit from additional reps… Knows assignments and role on D-line… Made appearances in 13 games, missing action at The Citadel… Earned second letter award… Matched tackles total from freshman year with 20 (2u, 8a) with a sack and first career fumble forced vs. Samford… Registered career-best three total tackles (1u, 2a) against Bulldogs in SoCon win including a tackle for loss (-1)… Teamed up with Edwin Jackson to keep Samford running back from making forward progress at GSU 11, as Bulldogs settled for field goal… Had assisted tackles with Deion Stanley and Blake Riley versus Jacksonville… Made solo tackle for no gain in first-quarter action against Phoenix… Split tackles against Wofford, Appalachian State, Howard and Georgia.
REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2011): Appeared in 11 games... Finished the season with 10 tackles, one sack and a quarterback hurry... Made two solo stops and a sack against Tusculum (9/10)... Also made two tackles against Alabama (11/19) and Old Dominion (12/3)... Started at defensive end for the Blue team in the spring game.
FRESHMAN (2010): Redshirted... four tackles in spring game for White defense, including one tackle for loss (2 yards).
PREP: First-team All-Region and All-DeKalb County at defensive end... Wildcats team leader in tackles and sacks in 2009 with 88 total, 58 solo and six sacks... also posted 18 tackles for loss and returned one interception for a touchdown... team captain as a senior... selected for team "Player of the Week" honors three times... ... two-sport letterman in football and track... threw shotput, discus and ran 200 meter dash... played for Coach Michael Youngblood.
