At every home football game, Georgia Southern is proud to recognize a Ford Teacher of the Game. One lucky teacher is selected during the week to come down onto the field for a videoboard promotion where they are recognized for being a Georgia Southern Alumni and an outstanding teacher. If you are interesting in applying or nominating to become the teacher of the game, below is all the pertinent information you need.
Criteria:
- Must be a Georgia Southern Alumni
- Must work in a school district as a teacher, counselor, principal, etc.
- Must work in a 60-mile radius from Statesboro, Ga.
When selected as Teacher of the Game, this will include:
- Clear backpacks for classroom
- Two (2) to four (4) tickets to the one (1) home game they are being recognized at
- Videoboard promotion on the field
- Social media post
