SOPHOMORE (2012): Missed Fall 2012 recovering from an injury, but returned for spring ball in top condition… Practiced in every session during spring… Tough, hard-nosed and determined player with competitive edge… Earned academic recognition with a 3.17 grade point average in fall 2012.

AIR FORCE ACADEMY: Played in four games in 2010 as a true freshman, seeing action against TCU, Utah, New Mexico and UNLV… Recorded two tackles against TCU and Utah… Lettered for 9-4 Falcons as they won Commander-in-Chief’s trophy Independence Bowl that season… Did not compete in 2011 and prepared to transfer.


PREP: Three-sport athlete who played football, basketball and threw discus and shot put for Greenbrier High School… Father, Randy, played safety at East Carolina for Coach Pat Dye and has three uncles, Rocky, Dale and Stan, who played Division I college football… Uncle Rocky is a member of the Chattanooga Football Hall of Fame and played for the New York Jets… Cousins Jensen and Hart Turner also played collegiately with Hart (tight end at South Carolina) continuing career with Miami Dolphins in 2004 and in NFL Europe in 2005… Lettered all four years in football for Coach Brian Smith…Selected to all-CSRA, all-Columbia County and all-area first team for performance on defensive line… Also named to All-Columbia County first team at fullback and tight end positions… Honored as Greenbrier’s Most Valuable Defensive Player for the second consecutive year and selected the team’s Most Valuable Player after senior campaign… Made 103 total tackles (73u) with seven sacks, four forced fumbles and two blocked kicks as a senior for Wolfpack… Earned all-county first team honors as offensive and defensive lineman as a junior…Started every game, playing on defensive line and at tight end as a freshman and sophomore… Named to all-Columbia County first team at tight end position first two years and added defensive lineman honors as a sophomore… Also won three letters in track and two in basketball… Selected Most Valuable Performer for Wolfpack Track and Field Team as a freshman, sophomore and junior and earned top ranking in state in AAAAA division but did not compete as a senior… Broke school records and advanced to place in state meet after winning regionals in Shot Put... Helped lead Wolfpack basketball team to state finals as a senior… Member of the academic honor roll at Greenbrier… Attended Air Force Academy Prep School in 2009 and played for Coach Bill Price.
