Series begins with Salute to Service night, recognizing active duty and retired military personnel
STATESBORO - Georgia Southern Baseball returns to league play this weekend as UT Arlington comes to Statesboro for a three game weekend series. The weekend features the 2018 Salute to Service Night, Bark in the Park and Faculty/Staff Appreciation Day starting with Friday night's game at 6:30 p.m.
Single game tickets are available at GSEagles.com/Tickets, giving fans the opportunity to beat the lines on gameday. Tickets can also be purchased at the J.I. Clements Stadium Box Office, located directly behind home plate at the stadium's main entrance.

- Georgia Southern Baseball welcomes UT Arlington to Bulloch County for the second time in the four years since joining the Sun Belt Conference. The Eagles enter the weekend coming off a 6-4 win over College of Charleston, while the Mavericks defeated No. 23 Dallas Baptist on Tuesday before falling to TCU on Wednesday night.
- Georgia Southern got six shutout innings from Braxton Johns on the mound, building a 6-0 lead in the early innings before taking the 6-4 win over the Cougars.

- Jason Swan did his impression of the Frozone, looking out for the greater good, by driving a career-high five runs in the 12-7 win over The Citadel including the go-ahead run.
- Six has been the magic number over the last five years for Georgia Southern Baseball with a 110-16 record when scoring six or more runs. The Eagles were 30-6 last year with six or more and 10-3 this year.
