Quickly: The Eagles (1-1) are out for another win this Friday in Boiling Springs against the Runnin' Bulldogs of Gardner-Webb. The Eagles won 4-0 their last time out against The Citadel with Frida Brattum, Dani Coumbs, Nora Falnes and Karin Winka scoring goals. Lauren Karinshak had six saves during the game. Gardner-Webb finished the 2018 season with 12-5-4 with a 7-1-2 Big South Conference record. Stina Kleppe was voted by the conference's coaches as Attacking Player of the Year for 2018. The team also made a 2018 Big South championship appearance. Big South coaches voted Gardner-Webb second in the preseason poll. So far this season, the Runnin' Bulldogs are 0-2. Georgia Southern and Gardner-Webb have played each other four times with the Eagles leading the series 3-1. Last year the Runnin' Bulldogs won 3-0.
