STATESBORO – Rodney Oglesby, a record-setting football player who is still the program's leader in career interceptions, is one of seven individuals who were announced as part of the Georgia Southern Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2020 at Saturday's home football game against UMass.
The 2020 class of inductees includes:
- Jermaine Austin, a three-time All-American football player who is second at Georgia Southern in all-time rushing yards; and
- Nicole Brown, a 14-time Southern Conference individual champion in track & field; and
- Craig Cooper, who earned All-America honors on the diamond and led the nation in RBIs in 1986; and
- Aimee Littlejohn, a two-time All-Southern Conference selection in softball who still holds several game, season and career pitching records; and
- Jeremy McClure, a three-time all-conference selection in men's soccer who is still the all-time leading scorer in program history; and
- Rodney Oglesby, a three-time All-American who is tied for the school record with five career non-offensive touchdowns; and
- Rachel Tolliver, a three-time all-conference selection in women's soccer who was also named the Georgia Southern Student-Athlete of the Year.
Due to COVID-19 and travel difficulties associated with it, the 2020 seven-member class will be officially inducted at a Hall of Fame luncheon on 2021Â prior to the football game at Paulson Stadium, and the new inductees will be introduced and honored at halftime of the contest. The seven additions bring the total number of former coaches, student-athletes, supporters and administrators in the Georgia Southern Athletics Hall of Fame to 161.

JERMAINE AUSTIN (Football, 2002-05)Â Â Â
A three-time All-American who still ranks among Georgia Southern's best at the running back position … Is second on the school's career rushing list with 5,411 yards … Named a first-team All-American his senior season after rushing for 1,546 yards in 2005 … A second-team All-America selection in 2003 and a third-team All-American in 2004 … One of two players in school history (
Adrian Peterson) to record three 1,400-yard rushing seasons … Is second in career rushing attempts with 857 … A four-time All-SoCon selection who was named the conference's offensive player of the year in 2003 … The SoCon Freshman of the Year in 2002 … Had 33 games with 100 or more yards rushing, second-most in program history … Is currently an eighth grade teacher at Wigwam Creek Middle School in Litchfield Park, Ariz.
NICOLE BROWN (Track & Field, 2004-2007)
A 14-time individual Southern Conference champion … Was a 2007 East Region triple jump champion and was a two-time NCAA Championship qualifier … Was named the 2007 SoCon Most Outstanding Track Performer … Led the 2007 squad to the program's only indoor team championship, winning four individual titles that season in the 100m, 200m, triple jump and long jump … Still holds the school records for the indoor 60m, 200m, the long jump and the triple jump … Ranks first in program history in the outdoor 100m, the triple jump, the long jump and as part of the 4x400 relay, as well as third in the 200m and fourth in the javelin.
CRAIG COOPER (Baseball, 1983-1986)
NCAA Coaches and Baseball America All-America selection in 1986 … Named Trans America Athletic Conference Player of the Year in 1986 … Also earned All-TAAC Eastern Division and All-Tournament honors in 1986 as a first baseman … The TAAC Tournament MVP in 1985 … National Division I leader with a school-record 94 RBI in 1986 while hitting a team-high .446 (second-highest season average in program history) … Scored a club-best 78 runs and hit 26 home runs that season … One of 15 Eagles all-time to record 60 runs scored/60 RBI in a season … Still ranks in the Top 10 in several Georgia Southern season and career offensive categories … Although drafted in the fifth round by San Diego in 1986, played mostly in the Cleveland Indians organization after college.
AIMEE LITTLEJOHNÂ (Softball, 1999-2002)
A four-year letterwinner for the Eagles … Two-time All-SoCon Team selection … 1999 SoCon Tournament Most Outstanding Player … Holds numerous single-season and career records as a pitcher including most innings pitched in a season (226.0), career games pitched (130), career games started (117), career innings pitched (809.2) and career ERA (1.56)… Second all-time for most starts in a season (35), most complete games in a season (27), career victories (54), career strikeouts (551), and career shutouts (20) … Her 13-inning effort against Jacksonville State in 2001 still stands as tied for the longest outing in a game in program history … Had a school-record 17 strikeouts against Campbell in 2002 … Also had 16 strikeouts against Charleston Southern in 2002 … Third all-time in consecutive scoreless innings pitched in a season (31.0).
JEREMY McCLURE (Men's Soccer, 1996-99)
The all-time leading scorer in Georgia Southern men's soccer history with 41 goals and 96 points … Midfielder-forward who was a three-time All-Southern Conference first-team selection (1997, 1998, 1999) … Ranks 13th on the SoCon's all-time goals scored list and 17th all-time in points … Scored 14 goals during his senior campaign, the second-most goals in a single season in school history … Is one of only three Eagles to notch four goals in one match, doing so against George Washington on Sept. 11, 1999 … His PK goal in the 76th minute of that match capped a 5-4 win for the Eagles despite Georgia Southern playing 9 v. 11 … Also collected a hat trick vs. VMI on Oct. 3, 1998 … Named to Soccer America's Team of the Week on Sept. 23, 1997 for his overtime winner in a 2-1 victory over Central Florida … The SoCon's Player of the Week in Week Five of the 1998 season … Currently practicing internal medicine in Macon.
RODNEY OGLESBY (Football, 1988-91)
A three-time All-American who was selected in 1988, 1990 and 1991 … Named to five first-teams in 1991, making him a consensus All-American … Georgia Southern's all-time leader in career interceptions (regular season only) with 14 … Also is tied for the school record in most passes intercepted in a game against Savannah State 1991 with three … Still tied for the school record with five non-offensive touchdowns (2 punt return, 2 fumble return, 1 interception return) … Tallied 160 tackles for his career with 35 pass breakups and 15 interceptions … Still ranked in the top three of career breakups and second in career interceptions … Had three or more interceptions all four seasons.
RACHEL TOLLIVER (Women's Soccer, 1994-96)
A three-time All-Southern Conference selection (1994, 1995, 1996) … Named to the 1996 SoCon All-Tournament Team … Voted as a First-Team ISAA Academic All-American in 1995 … An NSCAA Second-Team Academic All-American in 1996 … A CoSIDA Third-Team Academic All-America the same year … A two-time CoSIDA Academic All-District selection … The 1995 Georgia Southern Student-Athlete of the Year … Still ranks seventh at Georgia Southern career points (67), seventh in goals scored (21) and is seventh in assists (25).
