• The Eagles cap the tournament by hosting Bob Jones in Hanner Fieldhouse Monday, Nov. 30, at 7 p.m.

• The Citadel enters the game with a 2-2 record and is coming off a 95-79 loss at Presbyterian Saturday.

• Georgia Southern returns just four scholarship letterwinners from last season's 22-9 team that advanced to the Sun Belt Conference Championship game.
• With 11-of-12 scholarship student-athletes who are freshmen, redshirt freshmen or sophomores (92 percent), Georgia Southern has the highest percentage of underclassmen on its current roster of the 345 NCAA Division I squads. Liberty (91 percent), Ohio State (85 percent), Fairleigh Dickinson (85 percent) and Wyoming (80 percent) round out the top-5.
• Georgia Southern lost 76 percent of its scoring and 72 percent of its rebounding from last season.

• Friday's contest will be the first meeting between Georgia Southern and USC Upstate on the hardwood.

The Series vs. The Citadel
• Georgia Southern leads the all-time series against the Bulldogs 30-21 and is 4-2 in the last six meetings.
• The Citadel posted an 80-63 win over Georgia Southern at home in the last meeting March 1, 2014. That was the Eagles' last season as members of the Southern Conference and the first campaign under head coach Mark Byington.
• No current members of the Eagle roster played in that contest, and four Bulldogs - Warren Sledge, Tom Koopman, Brian White and Quinton Marshall - saw action in the game. Koopman had six points and five boards in 15 minutes.
• Two of the Eagles' last four wins in the series came in overtime as Georgia Southern posted a pair of victories in the extra period in the 2011-12 season. The Eagles won 78-72 at home Jan. 23, and topped the Bulldogs 73-72 Feb. 11 on the road.

Quick Hitters
• After not playing an SEC opponent since a 78-75 loss to Auburn Dec. 30, 2011, the Eagles have faced two this season. Georgia Southern fell 82-72 at Ole Miss Nov. 16 and 92-62 at Auburn Nov. 20.

• The Eagles' 40 3-point attempts tied for the second-the most in school history (West Georgia, 1/2/1992).
