Junior (2016-17): Played in all 33 games and started in one • Averaged 3.8 points, 1.8 rebounds and one assist per game • Played an average of 18.8 minutes per game • Shot 39 percent from the floor, 36 percent from 3-point land and 58 percent from the free-throw line • Netted 22 3-pointers on the year • Scored a season-high 12 points vs. UTA (2/20); netted all four 3-pointer attempts • Played a season-high 29 minutes vs. Utah Valley (3/25) and scored seven points • Tallied eight points and two assists vs. Radford (11/26) • Recorded a season-high of four assists vs. Fisk and netted seven points (12/22).

Sophomore (2015-16): Played in 31 games and started 10 • Averaged 5.9 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game • Played an average of 23.5 minutes per contest and was first off the bench in 11 games • Scored in double figures six times and led the team in assists in five games • Scored a season-high 15 points at App. State (1/25) • Recorded 13 points and four assists at Ole Miss • Had 10 points and three assists at USC Upstate • Registered 11 points and three assists at Duke and against Stetson • Tallied eight points and six boards vs. Arkansas State (2/18) • Netted 11 points vs. Little Rock (2/23) • Team captain.

Freshman (2014-15): Played in 25 games • Shot 48 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from 3-point range and 83.3 percent from the free-throw line • Posted a season-best 10 points in his second game as an Eagle against Trinity College and dished out six assists against Johnson (Fla.) is his third game • Went 2-2 from the field, scoring five points in the first game against App. State (1/29) and tallied nine points and two steals in the second game (2/26).

Prep: Played four seasons at East Rutherford High School in Bostic, N.C., for coach Brad Levine • Averaged 18.7 points per game and 9.7 rebounds per game as a senior • Scored 1,552 career points with 748 rebounds • Was a part of East Rutherford’s 2A/3A State Championship in 2011 • Was an all-state selection in 2012 • Also played for Forest City Heat under coach Larry Ross • Finished as a top-5 national AAU team in 2011 and 2012 • Graduated with honors • Member of Beta Club • Served as Class President at East Rutherford.

Personal: Born Devonte Montease Boykins Nov. 5, 1995, in Charlotte, N.C. • Parents are Robert and Atoniea Boykins • Has two siblings, Devince and Devoria • Devince played three seasons at Marshall and suited up for the Eagles in 2015-16 • Robert played basketball at Johnson C. Smith University (1992-95) and was a teammate of Eagle assistant coach Larry Dixon • He also played professionally in Germany, Korea, Dominican Republic, Israel and Australia • Mother, Atoniea, played on basketball, softball and volleyball scholarships at Johnson C. Smith • She also played professional basketball in Germany.
