Sun Belt Announces Basketball Conference Schedules

Each team will have nine home and nine road games during the 2024-25 Sun Belt season

STATESBORO – The Sun Belt announced the league's conference schedule for both men's and women's basketball. Each team will play nine home and nine road games.

Both teams will kick off the season at home against in-state foe Georgia State. The first doubleheader of the season follows on Dec. 20, as women's basketball takes on App State, and men's hosts James Madison.

Each team will start the new year on the road. The men's team has a three-game road swing, taking on Coastal Carolina in Conway (Jan. 1), Old Dominion in Norfolk (Jan. 3) and South Alabama in Mobile (Jan. 10). The women's team will play two, heading to Old Dominion first and then Coastal Carolina on the same dates.

The men's team will follow with a four-game homestand featuring matchups with Sun Belt champions Troy (Jan. 22) and NIT participant Arkansas State (Jan. 24). The Red Wolves will be in Statesboro for the first time since the 2022-23 season.

The women's team rounds out January with a pair of home games after returning from playing both Alabama teams, hosting Southern Miss (Jan. 28) and last year's Sun Belt champions, Arkansas State (Jan. 31).

The final doubleheader will take place on Valentine's Day. Women's basketball hosts Coastal Carolina and men's hosts Marshall for its final home game of the season.

The women's team concludes its home schedule the following weekend with a pair of matchups: Marshall (Feb. 19) and ULM (Feb. 21). Both teams will spend the final two games of the conference season on the road, heading into the conference tournament, which begins on Mar. 3 in Pensacola.

Hana Haden and Charlie Henry will look to improve on the 2024-25 season's momentum beginning in November.
