Women's Tennis hosts Georgia Southern Invitational this weekend

Three-day tournament features seven teams
STATESBORO, Ga. – The women's tennis team holds their annual home tournament at the Wallis Tennis Complex Friday-Sunday, which features seven teams this year. The Georgia Southern Invitational starts at 9 a.m. each day with singles playing the best two out of three sets with no ad scoring and doubles playing to eight games with no ad scoring.
The field includes Bethune-Cookman, ETSU, SCAD, Savannah State, Presbyterian, Georgia State and host Georgia Southern.
For the Eagles, junior Guilia Riepe takes the No.1 singles spot followed by junior Mariana Rannzaheur at No. 2. Seniors Mary Phillips Smith and Francisca Norregaard take up the No. 3 and 4 spots for singles and freshmen Shannon Wagner and Paige Christian round out the lineup.
