
Women's Tennis Ends Fall Play at Wofford Invitational

SPARTANBURG, S.C.- Georgia Southern women's tennis completes their fall schedule this weekend (November 1-3) at the Wofford Invitational. The Eagles will compete against players from Western Carolina, Wofford, Mercer, Garner-Webb, Presbyterian, and UNC Asheville.
Paola Garrido, Jordana Klein, Stephanie Woods, Mary Phillips Smith, Francisca Norregaard, Caitlin Kitchen, and McKinsey Fiveash are the Eagles heading to Spartanburg in hopes of bringing home some victories.
Last time out, the Eagles took to their home courts for the GSU Fall Classic. Stephanie Woods earned second place in her singles flight, defeating players from Wofford and Stetson before losing to Barbora Krtickova from Armstrong Atlantic in the finals. Mary Phillips Smith won the consolation bracket of her singles flight by defeating opponents from Jacksonville State and Florida Atlantic. In doubles play, McKinsey Fiveash and Lani Tummers notched wins against teams from Jacksonville State and Emory.
