GRADUATE STUDENT (2017): Made 13 appearances, all in relief after missing the opening month of the season… Finished with a 2-0 record an a 2.25 ERA… Earned the win with 1.2 innings of no-hit ball at the College of Charleston… Also took the win at Savannah State, striking out five in 2.0 innings of work… Struck out 24 batters on the year… Did not allow a run between April 8 and May 16 over a run of five appearances and 7.1 innings of work.

SENIOR (2016): Pitched 23 games in relief… Had a 1-1 record… Allowed 26 hits and 19 runs (16 earned), striking out 32… Had a 4.75 ERA… Pitched 30.1 innings… Opposing batting average of .234… Season-high four strikeouts twice, vs. Radford (2/26) and at The Citadel (4/20)… Season-high 3.0 innings pitched twice, at Georgia Tech (3/30) and at South Alabama (5/7)... Granted a hardship waiver following the 2016 season to grant him an additional year of eligibility... Graduated in May 2016 with degree in Mathematics… Named to Sun Belt Commissioner's List.

JUNIOR (2015): Appeared In 24 games with 23 coming in relief... Made one start, against Georgia Tech (2/17), a controlled outing at home against Georgia Tech that lasted 2.2 innings... Went 3-2 on the mound with 15 outings that didn’t surrender a run... Tallied 32.0 innings of work while allowing 26 hits and 11 earned runs... Struck out 27 batters while allowing 14 walks.

SOPHOMORE (2014): Named to both the Sun Belt's Academic Honor Roll and SoCon Academic All-Conference... SoCon Pitcher of the Week for March 24th after posting wins over Clemson (3/18) and Appalachian State (3/23) in the same week... Held the Tigers to one run over three frames to earn his second win of the season before blanking the Mountaineers for two frames as the Eagles rallied for a five-run deficit to win 10-7... Posted a 4-1 record with a 3.88 ERA in 24 games and 10 starts... Opened the season in the weekend rotation at Georgia (2/16)... Allowed two runs on four hits over 2.2 innings in a 18-4 Eagle win... Bounced back with one run over 5.1 innings against UMES (2/23)... Held Wofford (4/25) to one run over 5.1 innings and struck out three batters... Earned his fourth win of the season after allowing one run on one hit over five innings against Western Carolina (5/11)... Tallied a save against the Catamounts in the Southern Conference Tournament (5/22)... Eagles top returner in games started (10).

SCAD: Played one season for Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD)... Transferred to Georgia Southern after the baseball program was cut... Sat out the 2013 season and worked at a local grocery store before walking on.

PREP: Played for head coach Brett Griffin at Effingham County High School... Lettered five times for the Rebels... Selected All-Region and a Senior All-Star as a pitcher and outfielder... Also lettered in football and wrestling... Graduated with honors and in the top 5 percent of class... Posted a 3.9 GPA in high school.

PERSONAL: Born Stephen Frederick on Nov. 30, 1992 in Savannah, Ga... Son of Craig and Laura Lea Frederick... Has three siblings Justin, Aaron and Dillon... Uncle, George Frederick, and father, Craig Frederick, both attended Georgia Southern University.
