REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2017): Pitched in six games, working five innings… Finished the season with a 10.80 ERA… Made his return to the mound against College of Charleston (3/28) just 393 days after being injured against the same team, tossing 0.2 innings in his return to the bump.

FRESHMAN (2016): Came in as a relief pitcher in four games… Had a 0-1 record in 4.0 innings… Allowed two hits and four runs/three earned runs… Struck out two batters… Granted a medical redshirt after an injury vs. College of Charleston (3/1)… Named to Sun Belt Honor Roll.

PREP: Played three seasons at Houston County High School for head coach Jason Brett... Named All-Region as a junior and a senior and picked up honorable mention All-Region honors on the mound in 2014... Named All-Middle Georgia in 2015 in the field and at pitcher... Part of Houston County’s 2014 GHSA 5A State Championship Team... Hit .325 with two home runs and 15 RBIs as a senior and posted a 6-2 record and a 1.70 ERA.

PERSONAL: Born Hunter Chase Phillips in Kennesaw, Ga. on August 18, 1996... Son of Jimmy and Stacy Phillips... Has two siblings, Tanner and Shelby... His aunt, Melanie Roth graduated from Georgia Southern... His father played semi-pro soccer in Atlanta... Member of the 2009 Warner Robins Little League Team which went to the LLWS and finished fourth in the world.
