STATESBORO– Georgia Southern men's basketball has released its 2024-25 Sun Belt schedule featuring nine home and nine road games.
Georgia Southern kicks off its slate before the New Year with a road matchup at Texas State on Dec. 21 in San Marcos before a break for the Christmas holiday.
The Eagles will follow by hosting two teams for the first time since the 2022-23 season with ULM (Jan. 2) and South Alabama (Jan. 4) both making appearances in Statesboro to start 2025.
GS will embark on its four-game road swing in January, traveling to Georgia State (Jan. 8), Marshall (Jan. 11), Coastal Carolina (Jan. 16) and Old Dominion (Jan. 18).
After returning for a two-game homestand featuring second matchups with Coastal Carolina (Jan. 22) and Marshall (Jan. 25), the team heads back west for bouts with Troy (Jan. 30) and Southern Miss (Feb. 1). The Eagles are making a trip to Troy for the first time since Feb. 6, 2021.
Louisiana will be in Statesboro for the first time since the 2021-22 season on Feb. 5, and after a road matchup with a MAC opponent (Feb. 8), four of the Eagles' final six games will be at home.
GS gets NCAA Tournament squad James Madison at home on Feb. 13, followed by fellow Virginia school Old Dominion on Feb. 15.
Following a two-game road swing at regular-season champion App. State (Feb. 20) and JMU (Feb. 22), two of the Eagles' historic rivals will come to the Convocation Center, battling App on Feb. 25 and ending the regular season on Feb. 28 against Georgia State.
The 2024 Sun Belt Tournament will be from Mar. 4-10 at the Pensacola Bay Center in Pensacola, Fla.
All conference home games are scheduled to take place in the new Jack and Ruth Ann Hill Convocation Center.
Georgia Southern will commence the 2024-25 season against Northern Illinois on Nov. 4 at Hanner Fieldhouse.
