Eagles compete in second meet of the season

STATESBORO – Georgia Southern cross country is set to compete at the Georgia Tech XC Invitational on Friday, October 4th at Bouckaert Farm. The women's 6000m race is scheduled for 9:20 a.m.

The Eagles opened the 2024 season at the 6th GMC Brickyard Invitational claiming a team victory and Emily Wheldon set a course record to take home the individual title with a time of 18:56.50. The squad swept the top-3 spots as Isabel Ptacek finished second with a time of 19:02.06 and Yolanda Brooks crossed the finish line at 19:20.15.

In her Georgia Southern debut, Wheldon secured the individual title with a time of 18:56.50 to set the GMC home course record.
