STATESBORO – Georgia Southern's Shatalya Dorsett has been named the Sun Belt Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week, the conference announced on Wednesday, March 25.
Dorsett delivered a standout performance at the Black & Gold Challenge hosted by UCF, cementing her place among the conference's elite in the 400m. The sophomore clocked a blistering 53.95 to finish second overall in a highly competitive field, while also moving to No. 1 in the Sun Belt this season in the event.
Her time ranks No. 3 all-time in Georgia Southern outdoor program history, marking a significant milestone in her career and continuing her strong start to the outdoor campaign.
