
Eagles Deliver Statement Performances, Etch Names in Program History

ANDERSON, S.C. – Georgia Southern turned in a strong showing on the track, highlighted by multiple all-time top-10 marks and a first-place finish in the 5K to lead a productive day for the Eagles' distance group.
Freshman Katie Casto set the tone early, clocking a 12:01.73 in the 3K steeplechase to place fourth and move into No. 8 on the program's all-time list.
Freshman Hannah Douglas and junior Tristen Crosby carried that momentum into the 5K, turning in standout performances.
Douglas led the field with a winning time of 17:53.31, securing the No. 2 all-time mark, while Crosby followed with an 18:01.94 to place fourth and claim the No. 4 spot in program history.
Cameron Belcher added a 19:26.76 finish in the 5K to round out the group.
In the mile, Lauren Voutour posted a time of 5:24.02.
Rebecca Stratton closed out the day in her outdoor debut, recording a 19:06.91 in the 5K.
