STATESBORO – Tai Strickland knocked down the game-winning bucket with 1.8 seconds left on the clock to lift Georgia Southern to a 54-53 men's basketball win over Campbell Saturday afternoon in Hanner Fieldhouse.
Strickland got the inbounds pass on the left elbow, drove right, absorbed contact and flipped the right-handed runner off the glass and in. Campbell tried a long pass on the inbounds play, but it went through the hands of Joshua Lusane and out of bounds at the other end with 0.8 left. The Eagles threw a long pass away from the basket and into the hands of
Tyren Moore to run out the clock.

Finch was fouled driving to the hoop and made both free throws with 40 seconds remaining to trim the margin to one, and the Eagles got a defensive stop at the other end.
