The Eagles journey to Chapel Hill, North Carolina this weekend
STATESBORO, Ga. – The Georgia Southern women's tennis team takes a road trip to Chapel Hill, North Carolina this weekend, to compete in the three-day Kitty Harrison Invite, hosted by NC State. The 19-team invitational will be played at both NC State and Duke Nov. 6-8.
On Friday, the Eagles take on Davison in doubles at 9 a.m. and South Carolina at noon. Georgia Southern faces VCU on Saturday morning for a doubles matchup and later goes up against Ball State later that day. For the last day, the Eagles play their last singles matches against William & Mary.
LAST TIME OUT
The Eagles had a tough showing at the ITA Regionals. In the main draw, Giulia Riepe lost two of her matches, while Mariana Ranzahuer dropped her first and had to withdraw from the second due to an injury. Mary Phillips Smith and Francisca Norregaard couldn't get past the qualifying rounds, dropping both of their matches two weekends ago.
