Women’s Tennis Completes First Day of KSU Fall Classic

MARIETTA, Ga. – Three Eagles posted singles victories as the Georgia Southern women's tennis team completed the first day of the Kennesaw State Fall Classic on Friday.
Jordana Klein defeated Murray St.'s Eleonore Tchakarova in a tight 7-5, 7-6 (1) opening round match in the A Singles bracket. Klein fell to the homestanding Kennesaw St.'s Virginie Stein 6-3, 6-2 in the semifinals and will face Alexandra Mercado for third place tomorrow.
In B Singles Giulia Riepe fell to Murray St.'s Nancy Karaky (6-2, 6-1) and will face Christian P. Perez de la Torre Martin tomorrow for third place.
In C Singles Isabel Dennis rallied from a first set loss to defeat Murray St.'s Suzaan Stoltz (4-6, 6-3, 6-3) and will square off with Erin Patton in the championship match tomorrow.
In Doubles action Anne Kurzweil and Daria Vasekina won a hard fought match against Kennesaw St.'s Perez de la Torre Martin and Grant 8-7 (5). In round robin play McKinsey Fiveash and Francisca Norregaard knocked off the Owls' team of Castro and Bueno 8-3.
