2016-17: Named to 2016-17 Sun Belt Commissioner's List

SENIOR (2015-16): Posted a 10-17 overall singles record going 8-11 in the spring primarily at the No.5 position…went 6-5 in doubles at the No.2 spot to go 6-9 in the spring and 8-14 overall…dropped the Sun Belt Tournament match (Apr. 22) to Troy’s Efrilliya Herlina…picked up a win at the No.2 position on Senior Day against Savannah State (Apr. 3)…earned a conference win against ULM’s Ioana Popescu 6-4, 6-4 on Apr. 2…fell at line five to No.47-ranked and rival Georgia State (Mar. 24)… Posted a 2-6 record for the fall...took down Cummer/Centenari (Davidson) 8-6 at the Kitty Harrison Invitational (Nov. 6-8) with partner and fellow senior Mary Phillips Smith…competed in the ITA Regionals (Oct. 23-25) at the University of Georgia but fell in the qualifying round 6-2, 6-2…swept Gianna Mitchell from SCAD at the Georgia Southern Invitational (Oct. 2) 6-0, 6-2…also defeated Julia Albuquerque and Karina Rovira (SCAD) in doubles 8-1 with Smith…kicked off the season with a win over Nielly (Western), scoring 6-3, 6-3 at the Elon Tournament (Sept. 11-12)

JUNIOR (2014-15): Competed in 23 matches for the Eagles, winning seven of them...primarily held the No.6 spot...made it to the semi finals of the 2a singles flight at the Georgia Southern Fall Invitational...won two of five Sun Belt matches...played No. 2 doubles with Daria Vasekina but dropped to Arkansas State at the conference matchup...defeated Margot De Haan of Troy 6-4, 3-6, 6-4...fell to South Alabama 4-6, 1-6 at the No. 5 position...fell to UL Monroe at the Sun Belt Conference Tournament 4-6, 3-6

SOPHOMORE (2013-14):  Saw limited action for the Eagles, competing in 1 singles match against Kalli Karas of Wofford and fell 1-6, 0-6.  2 of 3 doubles matches were unfinished, and paired with Paola Garrido the tandem lost to #64 Furman duo of Alex Moreno/Katherine Oudin 2-8.  

FRESHMAN (2013): Joined the Eagles in the spring...Appeared in 12 matches for the Eagles, playing all but one at the No. 6 position...Earned her first collegiate win in the Eagles' first match of the year against Presbyterian, defeating Haley Elliot 6-0, 6-2...Clinched the match in her lone appearance at No. 5 against Western Carolina's Erin Maguire on April 12...Earned a conference victory against Wofford's Lucy Schermerhorn on March 3...Played in three doubles matches with Mary Phillips Smith, picking up one win against Mercer's Roxy Bartz and Natalie Franklin.

PREP: Played No. 1 singles for her U16 team that won the National Team Tournament…Ranked as high as third as a U14 and ninth as a U16…Regionals Doubles Champion as a U16 and U12…Won a bronze medal in doubles as a U14. Maintained a top 15 ranking in the nation throughout her prep career.  

PERSONAL: Full name is Francisca Marie Norregaard…Born on March 10, 1994 in Gentofte, Denmark…Parents are Michael Norregaard and Tina Hassel Norregaard…Hails from an athletic family with older brother Holger, 20, playing tennis at New Jersey Institute of Technology and younger sister Elizabeth, 15, being a member of the national basketball team of Denmark…People she admires the most are her mom and dad “because of the way they raised me in a safe and loving home, and they have contributed the most to who I am now”…Majoring in Business.
