¦ Georgia Southern continues play in its 22nd and final Southern Conference Tournament Saturday at noon against top seed and regular-season champion Chattanooga.
¦ The Eagles tied for seventh in the league standings and are the eighth seed in the tournament.
¦ The winner moves on to the semifinals to face the winner of Appalachian State vs. Elon.
¦ It's the seventh time Georgia Southern has faced Chattanooga in the SoCon Tournament, and the Mocs are 4-2, having won the last four. Chattanooga defeated GSU 78-53 in last year's quarterfinal round.
¦ Chattanooga won both meetings against the Eagles this season, topping Georgia Southern 69-60 in The McKenzie Arena and 72-60 in Hanner Fieldhouse.
¦ The Eagles are 3-3 in their last six and coming off a 75-62 win over Wofford Friday in SoCon Tourney action.
¦ GSU is 1-2 in neutral site games this season, while Chattanooga is 1-1.
¦ Georgia Southern is 23-19 all-time in the SoCon Tournament but 3-7 in its last 10, dating back to a 73-59 semifinal loss to Western Carolina in 2007. The Eagles went 1-1 in last season's tournament, topping Western Carolina 68-51 before falling 78-53 to eventual champion Chattanooga.

¦ Anna Claire Knight ranks third in the SoCon and leads GSU in scoring at 15.8 points a game. The junior has scored in double figures in 26 contests and is just the third Eagle to score 400 points in a season since 1998-99, joining Sharon Mitchell (1998-99) and Tiffany Brown (2006-07).
¦ MiMi DuBose, who is averaging 11.7 points a contest, hit four 3-pointers at App Jan. 27 to become the school's career leader in triples. DuBose scored 16 points at Chattanooga Jan. 4 to top the 1,000-point mark for her career. She played in her 100th career contest vs. Davidson Jan. 18.
¦ Senior Danielle Spencer corralled four rebounds vs. Chattanooga Feb. 3 to reach 500 for her career. She is the 18th Eagle in program history to reach the milestone.
¦ Chattanooga has won 37 games in a row against SoCon competition, dating back to last season. The Mocs are on a current 21-game win streak overall and are garnering votes in the AP Top-25.
¦ SoCon Player of the Year Taylor Hall leads Chattanooga in scoring (14.8/gm), rebounding (8.6/gm), assists (4.4/gm) and steals (2.6/gm).
¦ All-SoCon pick Ashlen Dewart averages 10.3 points and 5.2 rebounds.
¦ Ten Chattanooga players play 13 or more minutes a contest, and Hall is the only Moc who plays 30-plus minutes a game.

¦ Last meeting (2/3/14): Taylor Hall registered 25 points, 11 rebounds and four steals and scored her 1,000th career point to lead Chattanooga to a 72-60 Southern Conference win over Georgia Southern in Hanner Fieldhouse.
¦ Anna Claire Knight scored 19 points to lead Georgia Southern, and Briana Jones notched 13 points and six rebounds. MiMi DuBose netted 14 points. Senior Danielle Spencer grabbed four rebounds to reach 500 for her career, becoming the 18th player in program history to reach the milestone.
¦ Chelsey Shumpert chipped in 13 points for the Mocs, and Ka'Vonne Towns netted eight.
¦ Georgia Southern held the Mocs to 11-of-29 from the floor and 2-for-11 from 3-point range in building a 30-28 lead at the break. It was the first time Chattanooga trailed at halftime in a SoCon game this season.
¦ After Jones scored the first basket of the second frame, Chattanooga netted seven straight and took its first lead of the second half on a Shumpert triple from the wing. The teams traded baskets for the next three minutes before Shumpert scored 10 straight points in a 16-1 Moc run to take control of the contest.
¦ Knight trimmed the margin to 12 with a 3-pointer from the wing with 4:12 to go, but Hall responded with her 3-point play for the Mocs. The Eagles got the margin to 11 twice in the final two minutes but could get no closer. Chattanooga finished the contest with 14 second-chance points and 25 points off of 18 Eagle turnovers.

¦ Danielle Spencer has two double-doubles this season. The senior had 12 points and 12 rebounds against Jacksonville State (11/16) and 12 points and 17 rebounds at Jacksonville (11/24).
¦ Spencer played in her 100th career game at Chattanooga (1/4).
¦ Lacie Dowling tied the school record with eight 3-pointers against Detroit (11/30) and scored a career-high 26 points in the game. She shares the record with Alie Rousseau, who notched eight triples vs. Appalachian State Feb. 8, 2000. The performance helped Dowling earn all-tournament honors at the FAU Thanksgiving Tournament.
¦ Dowling has played in every game this season and started 27. She tallied a career-high seven assists at Western Carolina Jan. 25.
¦ Anna Claire Knight is 14 points away from 1,000 for her career and corralled her 400th career rebound at Furman March 2. She has two career double-doubles and registered the first triple-double in program history and the 11th in the country this season with 16 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists at Samford Jan. 6.
¦ Sophomore Briana Jones, who sat out last season after transferring from James Madison, has five double-doubles in her first campaign playing for the Eagles. She has started 28 games.
¦ Senior Jordi Cook played in her 100th career game at Western Carolina Jan. 25. She was one of three Eagles to play in all 31 games in 2012-13.
¦ Sierra Kirkland scored a career high 12 points at Appalachian State (1/27). The sophomore has played in every game in her career.
¦ MiMi DuBose had a streak of 87 straight games and 83 consecutive starts come to an end at UNCG Feb. 10.
¦ Five Eagles scored in double figures at Appalachian State Jan. 27. It's the first time since early in the 2008-09 season that GSU placed five players in double figures.

¦ Georgia Southern guard Anna Claire Knight was named All-Southern Conference by both the league's coaches and the sports media association.
¦ Knight was named all-conference by the league's coaches, who select one team of 10 players. She was named second-team All-SoCon by the sports media association, which picks two, five-player teams. Knight is the first Eagle to be named to the SoCon postseason all-conference team since 2008, when Shawnda Atwood and Tiffany Brown earned the accolade.
¦ Knight ranked third in the league in scoring with 15.8 points a game and added 4.8 rebounds and two assists a contest. The junior scored in double figures in 25 contests.

¦ She earned the honor again Feb. 18 after tallying 31 points and nine boards at Davidson. She is the first Eagle to win SoCon Player of the Week twice in the same season since Nicole Newton in 2005-06.
¦ Knight was named SoCon Student-Athlete of the Week for the third time in her career Dec. 18.
