Quotables
Head coach Hana Haden on the game against the 'Canes
"Tonight was a really tough game. I thought we battled in that second quarter to cut it to two, leading into the half. We were plus 5 on the glass in the first half, though that had a lot to do with number 0 being on the bench in foul trouble. In the second half, we got dominated on the boards. We gave up 46 points in the paint, and it's going to be hard to win that way. And we didn't execute against that zone very well."
Coach Haden on the season's success from the Eagles
"I told our team that this game was not the result we wanted, but it was such a short part of what was an amazing year. I think we completely maxed this team out and got every single thing we could out of them. They poured every ounce of themselves into this program and I'm so happy for these seniors to win a Championship, under really tough circumstances. The Sun Belt Conference is a tough league. It's one of the best mid-major leagues in the country, and to go 16-2 with a short bench and with some key players missing, I just credit our group so much."
