
Women's Basketball Finalizes Roster For 2025-26 With Eight Newcomers

Six transfers and two high school signees join the Eagles for head coach Heather Macy's first season in Statesboro
STATESBORO - Georgia Southern head women's basketball coach Heather Macy has finalized the roster for the Eagles, adding six transfers and two high school student-athletes who will play in the upcoming 2026-27 campaign.
Coming to the 'Boro to play for the Eagles in year one of Coach Macy's tenure are: Nova Southeastern transfers Hailey Chiles (6-3, C, Greenwood, S.C.); Markayla Holland (5-10, G, Waterford, Mich.) and Unique Horton (6-3, F, Miami, Fla.); Chipola JC transfer Tamiria Jones (5-9, G, Birmingham, Ala.); Central Connecticut State transfer Kiyah Lewis (6-0, G/F, Fredericksburg, Va.); Austin Peay transfer Kyra Perkins (5-10, G, Morrison, Tenn.) and a pair of incoming freshmen in Kiara Anderson (5-5, G, Denver, N.C. / Mallard Creek HS) and Jailyn Williams (6-0, F, Port St. Lucie, Fla. / Centennial HS).
These eight newcomers will join the seven returners from last season's squad that captured the 2025-26 Sun Belt Conference regular season championship and finished the season with a 23-8 record and a No. 18 ranking in the Women's Mid-Major Top 25 poll.

Named SSC Defensive Player of the Week (Dec. 1) ... Had a career-high 31 points, 10 rebounds, five steals two blocks and two assists in the SSC Tournament Quarterfinals against Palm Beach Atlantic (March 3) ...
