STATESBORO, Ga. – Georgia Southern Men's Basketball will face South Carolina State for the second-straight season on Saturday afternoon in a 2:30 p.m. contest. The game follows a Noon Women's Basketball game against Toccoa Falls. Fans can purchase a special $5 ticket to the game by showing their ticket to the Eagles' football game against UL Monroe. There will be no video streaming of the game, while the radio call will be exclusively on GS All-Access at GSEagles.com

HEWITT DROPS A BOATLOAD OF POINTSJelani Hewitt scored a season-best 33 points on Monday in the Eagles' victory over Florida International. It was the third time Hewitt has scored 30+ points in his career and the second-largest haul for the senior point guard from Miramar, Fla.
EAGLES LEAD NATION IN REBOUNDING MARGINDespite being undersized in both games against Division I opponents Georgia Southern has won the rebounding battle in all four contests this season. The Eagles are out-rebounding opponents by 16.8 rebounds per game and lead the nation. The Eagles won the battle of the glass by seven against Illinois and nine last time out against Florida International.

Tre Bussey has earned a spot on the Idaho Stampede of the NBA Developmental League. The Stampede opened the 2014-15 season on November 14th. Bussey is averaging 10.0 points per game through the season's first four games.
