Hanner Fieldhouse in the Pink for Saturday

STATESBORO, Ga. - Blue and white may be Georgia Southern's official team colors, but pink will be the primary color of Hanner Fieldhouse on Saturday, February 20th. A collaboration between the Georgia Southern Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, Zeta Tau Alpha and Phi Mu sororities, and the Statesboro Women's Service League will "Pack the House in Pink" as coaches, players and fans will wear pink in tribute to individuals who have lost a battle with breast cancer, who are currently battling breast cancer and those who are survivors of breast cancer.

Activities surrounding Saturday's doubleheader focus on raising awareness and funds for breast cancer and life-saving research. Both the Lady Eagles and Eagles games will "pink up" for this worthy endeavor. Provided by The University Store, pink GSU T-shirts will be thrown into the stands during the game as part of the day's promotions. Zeta Tau Alpha will sell "Pack the House" T-shirts and navy and hot pink beads at Hanner and Phi Mu will sell 50/50 raffle tickets with all proceeds benefitting organizations devoted to the fight against breast cancer.

Both Georgia Southern teams face the Wofford Terriers as Rusty Cram's team will tip-off at noon with C.Y.'s Eagles beginning at 2:30 p.m.

Single-game tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children (ages 3-12). A $25 flex package, which includes five tickets, offers significant savings and the tickets can all be used at a single game.  The ticket windows at Hanner Fieldhouse will open at 11 a.m. on Saturday morning. Hanner Fieldhouse is located at 590 Herty Drive, at the corner of Fair Road (Highway 67) and Herty Drive in Statesboro.
