CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Georgia Southern Eagles (10-12) return to the field for a midweek nonconference matchup against the Charleston Southern Buccaneers (5-19), looking to build momentum before the start of conference play. The contest marks another meeting between the programs as the series has recently favored the Eagles.
Georgia Southern enters the matchup aiming to carry offensive momentum into the week after several strong performances at the plate this season with dominant wins over Presbyterian.
While, Charleston Southern comes into the midweek matchup looking to bounce back and challenge the Eagles with a lineup capable of producing runs when given opportunities. The Buccaneers will aim to pressure Georgia Southern early and create scoring chances against the Eagles' pitching staff.
