Eagles Place Five on CSC Academic All-District Team

STATESBORO – Five Georgia Southern softball players were chosen to represent on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team recognizing their excellence in the classroom and on the field.
Senior Bailey Holland, senior Emma Davis, junior Delanie Thames, junior Valerie Combs and sophomore Braelyn Queen earned CSC Academic All-District honors.
To qualify for the honor, student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA while meeting competition requirements. Position players must compete in 90 percent of their team's games or start in at least 66 percent, while pitchers must make at least 17 appearances or pitch 35 innings. Freshmen are not eligible for nomination.
