PREVIEW: Eagles Travel to Troy For Three Game Set

STATESBORO – The Georgia Southern softball team hits the road for a three-game conference series at Troy beginning on Friday at 7 p.m. ET at Troy Softball Complex.
The Eagles play on Saturday at 5 p.m. ET before wrapping up play on Sunday at 1 p.m. All games are scheduled to be streamed on ESPN+ and live stats are available at GSEagles.com/SBStats.
Georgia Southern is 25-15 overall, and 9-3 in the Sun Belt while Troy is 25-17 overall, and 5-7 in conference play.

Georgia Southern secured its fourth straight series win taking the first two games over Coastal Carolina. The Eagles took game one 2-1 on Friday behind a stellar performance in the circle by Maddie Johnson. The freshman tossed her 11th complete game of the season allowing just one run on four hits and picked up six strikeouts in seven innings of work. The offense came alive in game two as the Eagles won 8-1. Delanie Thames went 3-for-4 in the contest with three runs batted in. The Eagles fell in game three, 4-0, and moved to 9-3 in Sun Belt conference play.
