New Orleans, La. --- The Sun Belt Conference announced on Thursday morning that
Karlee Wells received another Diver of the Week honors. For Wells, it is her second straight week of winning the award after having a historic day against this past Saturday against North Florida.
In the three-meter dive, Wells put up a solid 284.85 on a day where only her and her fellow teammates dove. The score is her second-highest highest of the season, behind her top-two score in school history performance earlier this season when she scored a 308.95 at the Emory Invitational.
In the one-meter dive, history was made on the last home meet of the season for Wells. Diving a 314.40 on the afternoon, Wells obliterated the previous school record of 302.15 set by Sara Rogers in 2018. She also broke the RAC pool record in the process as well. After missing the mark by just .05 last week when she dove at Florida Atlantic, Wells now has the school record in both diving events.
Wells and the Georgia Southern swim & dive team have their final regular season meet of the season this upcoming Saturday when they take on Marshall. The meet is set to start at 11 AM in Huntington.
