STATESBORO – The Georgia Southern softball team (22-18, 5-10 SBC) returns to Beautiful Eagle Field for a three-game conference series against Troy beginning on Friday, April 19. First pitch of game one is set for 4 p.m. and the series will conclude on Sunday at noon. All games will be streamed on ESPN+.
LAST TIME OUT
The Eagles picked up a midweek win over Mercer 4-1 on Wednesday at Sikes Field to move to 22-18 overall.
Bailey Holland pitched her third complete game of the season tossing seven compete innings allowing one run on eight hits and striking out one.

Katie Perkins recorded multi-hit performances going 2-for-4 and Perkins added two runs batted in.
Jess Mazur got the offense going in the second launching her seventh home run of the season, a solo shot to left field.
Courtney Ball recorded an RBI-groundout to continue the scoring and extend the lead. With the win, the Eagles move to 17-8 in non-conference play this season.

Troy is 29-16 overall and 9-6 in Sun Belt Conference play coming into the three-game series against the Eagles. Last weekend, Troy claimed a series win in the Sunday rubber match against ULM. The Trojans dropped game one against the Warhawks 4-3 before taking the final two games of the series. Troy outscored ULM in the final two games 11-5 to claim its fourth conference series on the season. Two-way player Libby Baker leads the Trojan offense with a .369 batting average including ten home runs on the season and is second on the team with 37 runs batted in. Baker also leads the pitching staff with a 3.53 ERA with a 12-8 record in 119.0 innings pitched.
