PREVIEW: Eagles Compete at Bulldog Invitational in Final Tuneup

STATESBORO – The Georgia Southern track and field team heads to Birmingham, Ala. for one final tuneup at the Bulldog Invitational hosted by Samford before the Sun Belt Conference Championships.
The event marks the fifth consecutive year that the team makes an appearance in Birmingham at the Bulldog Invitational.
The Eagles are coming off of a sweep of the sprint events at the Columbia Challenge as NaJ Watson secured victories in the 60m and 200m and Alanna Smith claimed the 400m. Watson set a personal best in the 60m clocking in at 7.44 and Smith set a personal best in the 400m with a time of 55.25. Watson also earned Sun Belt Track Athlete of the Week for her performance at the event.
Emani George, Kennadi Reed, Makayla Caldwell, Imani Moore, Sofia Molina, and Payton Guye all set personal bests at the Columbia Challenge.
