
Three Eagles Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

STATESBORO – Georgia Southern track and field's Shatalya Dorsett, Kennedy Hood and Alexandria Kenned have been named to the 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, recognizing student-athletes for their combined excellence in competition and the classroom.
Dorsett, a biology major with a 3.55 GPA, earned Academic All-District recognition after posting three top-50 performances in the East Region. Prior to regionals, the junior ranked 11th in the 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash while also finishing the season ranked 47th in the 400-meter dash.
Hood, a political science major with a 3.72 GPA, secured her spot on the Academic All-District Team after recording the 13th-best long jump mark in the East Region during the 2026 campaign.
Kennedy, an exercise science major carrying a 3.62 GPA, earned recognition with the 43rd-ranked triple jump mark in the East Region.
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA while also meeting performance standards on the track or in the field. For track and field, nominees must rank among the top 50 in their respective region in an individual event.
