Men's Basketball Inks Two on National Signing Day

Eagles welcome Sean Van Dorn Jr. and Jayden Williams
STATESBORO – Charlie Henry and co. have inked a pair of recruits on National Signing Day, welcoming Sean Van Dorn Jr. (Georgia) and Jayden Williams (Alabama).
Sean Van Dorn Jr. | 6'6 G | Atlanta, Ga. | Tri-Cities HS
Four-year letterwinner under Omari Forts at Tri-Cities HS in East Point… named first-team all-region 2023, second team all-state in 2023 and Freshman of the Year in 2022… also ran cross country… played on the club circuit under Daryl Darby on the Anthony Edwards Five 3SSB… born Apr. 13, 2007… son of Sean and Christina Van Dorn… has two brothers, Christian and Evan.
FROM CHARLIE HENRY: "We are thrilled to add Sean to our program. Sean's combination of positional size, skill level & shooting ability make him the ideal wing in our system. His production was on full display over the spring & summer. We look forward to watching his senior season with Coach Forts at Tri-Cities HS in his return to his home state. Sean comes from a very close-knit family & we know he will make them proud at Georgia Southern."
Jayden Williams | 6'6 G | Bessemer, Ala. | Ramsay HS
Four-year letterwinner under Denton Johnson at Ramsay HS… Earned 5A Area 10 MVP, All regional Tournament team, 2nd team All Birmingham, North vs South 2024 Allstar game MVP honors with the Rams… born Nov. 12, 2006… son of Lori Ellis and Johnny Williams… has a brother, Johnivon.

He brings a unique blend of positional size & athleticism to the guard spot which allows him to impact the game at both ends of the floor. He's fortunate to have played for two terrific programs in Ramsay HS & Pro One Basketball Club where he has learned under excellent coaches and been a part of winning. More than just basketball though, Jayden is a great person & student. We proudly welcome him to our basketball family."
Van Dorn and Williams will join the Eagles at the beginning of the 2025-26 season. Georgia Southern has started this year 2-1 and will match up with NC Central on Friday.
