Sotirov Earns NABC Honors Court Award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Georgia Southern men's basketball's Tsvet Sotirov was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches Honors Court on Wednesday afternoon, representing achievement in the classroom during the 2025-26 season.
The NABC Honors Court includes junior, senior, and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2025-26 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. The NABC's academic awards are presented annually to teams and athletes from all levels of college basketball.
"College basketball student-athletes do incredible things on the court, but their achievements in the classroom are equally worthy of celebration," said NABC Executive Director Craig Robinson. "Education is one of the NABC's core values, and the hundreds of programs and thousands of athletes represented on these awards reinforce the commitment to academic success that exists across all levels of our sport."
Sotirov joined the Eagles last season, after starting his career at Northern Illinois. The Sofia, Bulgaria native, appeared in 35 games for the Eagles, registering three starts. He averaged 11.3 minutes per game, collecting a season-best 11 points against Arkansas State in the Sun Belt Tournament. In that contest Sotirov knocked down three three-point shots and was named to the CSC Academic All-District team earlier this summer.
