STATESBORO - Georgia Southern student-athletes from multiple sports will give back to the Statesboro community on Saturday, February 3, participating in the Feed the Boro event at Statesboro High School.

The event helps distribute meals to residents in Bulloch County, and the goal for Saturday is to hand out 500 meals throughout the morning. The event runs from 8-10 a.m.

"We are honored to be able to partner with Feed the Boro," Senior Associate AD for Student-Athlete Development Gleen Hart said. "We're excited to continue our commitment to being servant leaders, and giving back to the community that so graciously supports our student athletes all year." 

Community service projects such as Feed the Boro help further the mission of the APEX program, which is a commitment to the holistic growth of all Georgia Southern student-athletes based on four pillars: life skills, leadership development, career growth and community engagement.
