Thirty-Two Student-Athletes Embark On Atlanta Career Tour April 24-26

Eagles will tour several Atlanta-area corporations as a part of APEX career preparation

STATESBORO - Thirty-two Georgia Southern student-athletes will be taking advantage of an incredible opportunity this week as they embark to the state capital for the APEX program's Atlanta Career Networking Tour on April 24-26.

The group will travel to Atlanta for a two-night stay and will visit the corporate offices of Coca-Cola, Norfolk Southern, Home Depot and Delta. There will also be a networking dinner, a tour of the Truist Park, home of the Atlanta Braves, as well as a visit to Top Golf.

"We are so fortunate to return to Atlanta for our Spring Career Networking Tour and the opportunities it will provide for these 32 student-athletes," said Gleen Hart, senior associate athletics director for student-athlete development. "The growth and popularity of this event is a testament to the dedication of our administration to the APEX program and the work ethic of our student-athletes. We look forward to connecting them with the Atlanta Corporate community and continue on our mission to prepare them for life after sport."

The event is part of the school's APEX (Athletes Preparing for Employment Experiences) program. The APEX program is designed to help prepare Georgia Southern student-athletes for the ultimate challenge after their playing careers- life.
