Gleen Hart joined the Georgia Southern Athletic department in August 2013 and currently serves as the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Student-Athlete Development & APEX. In his role, Hart manages student-athlete development leadership programs consisting of life skills development, Eagles in Transition, degree completion and post-graduate programs. At the time of his promotion to this role, he was one of just three people in this role in NCAA Athletics. He also serves as the sport oversight for band and cheer.
Hart is also the liaison for athletic department partnerships with the band and mascot/spirit groups and SAAC. He also develops community partnerships for surrounding areas.
Prior to his current role, he oversaw the day-to-day operations within the athletic department for the sport marketing group, specializing in advertising, promotions, fan experience, student engagement, in-game operations and marketing for all sports. He also worked side-by-side with the athletics communications office, GSEagles.com - including live streaming, the athletic community and campus relations, student engagement and special projects.Â
Hart is a member of NACDA and NACMA professional organizations, is a Sun Belt Conference Marketing Representative and is a trained Habitudes Leadership Facilitator.
Prior to arriving at Georgia Southern, Hart spent seven years at Arkansas State as the Assistant AD for Marketing and Promotions and seven years at Wake Forest University as the Assistant Director for Marketing and Ticketing.
Hart was a four-year football letterman and graduated from Wake Forest University in 1994 with a degree in psychology. He earned his master’s degree in sport administration from High Point University in 2005.
Hart and his wife, Kim, have two daughters, Makenna and Kennedi.
