STATESBORO - The Georgia Southern Athletics APEX Summer Program wrapped up this week as members of the Eagle football and basketball teams sat in on various sessions to prepare them not only for the upcoming 2025-26 athletic seasons but for life after sport.
The three-week program included sessions on personal branding, NIL landscape navigation, interviewing and media training, social media best practices and etiquette, personal finance as well as a networking luncheon for seniors and graduate students from the football, men's basketball and women's basketball teams.
There were 18 representatives covering 14 corporate partners included in the networkingluncheon event: Statesboro Real Estate, FBI, Coca-Cola, Texas Roadhouse, Eggs Up Grill, Whitfield Sings, The Sack Company, Renasant Bank, Morris Bank, Lee, Hill & Johnson Insurers, Shuman Farms, Optim Orthopedics, the EFAA, GSSP Learfield and Walt Huggins.
This was the first year that the APEX Summer Program included three different athletic teams.
