
Cross Country Wins Georgia Southern Fall Classic

The Eagles earned their first victory of the season
STATESBORO – Catherine Hall, Ella Zierdt, Katie Ranck, and Reese Connelly finished in the top-5 to lead the Georgia Southern cross country team to their first victory of the season on Saturday morning at Bulloch Disc Golf Course.
Four Eagles finished in the top-5 as Catherine Hall crossed the finish line first for the Eagles with a personal-best time of 19:13.21 to win the meet. Ella Zierdt followed with a time of 19:41.38 to finish third, in fourth place Katie Ranck ran a time of 19:42.14, and Reese Connelly finished fifth with a time of 19:52.70
Two more Eagles rounded out the top-10 as Tristen Crosby and Isabel Ptacek finished in seventh and tenth, respectively. Crosby crossed the line with a time of 19:56.01 before Ptacek finished with a time of 20:04.62.
Three other Eagles including Megan Hilton, Ansley Fullen, and Melanie Tribick competed. Hilton finished in 13th with a time of 21:10.87, Fullen competed in a time of 21:29.15 for 14th, and Tribick finished 16th with a time of 22:07.37.
