Eagles Wrap Up Spec Towns Invitational with Strong Day Three Showing

ATHENS, GA. – Spec Towns Invitational action wrapped up on Day Three as the Eagles turned in a series of competitive performances against a strong field hosted by the Georgia Bulldogs.
The Eagles' triple jump duo of Alexandria Kennedy and Trinity Lavant competed well among a deep field. Kennedy led the pair with a mark of 11.98 meters, while Lavant followed with a leap of 11.64 meters.
On the track, the 4x100-meter relay team of Shatalya Dorsett, NaJ Watson, Aaliyah Barnes and Montse Rodriguez delivered a solid performance as the group continued to build chemistry heading into the heart of the outdoor season.
In the individual sprints, Dorsett paced the Eagles with a fourth-place finish in the 100 meters, crossing the line in 11.38 seconds against a competitive field.
Alanna Smith highlighted the remainder of the sprint group with a personal-best time of 12.24 in the 100 meters. Barnes (12.39), Rodriguez (12.43) and Emani George (12.50) rounded out the Eagles' efforts in the event.
