Shatalya Dorsett Earns Second SBC Honor After All-Time Performance in Vegas

STATESBORO – Georgia Southern's Shatalya Dorsett turned in a standout performance at the UNLV Rebel Elite Invitational, further establishing herself as one of the top sprinters in the Sun Belt Conference and earning her Sun Belt recognition for the second time this outdoor season.
Dorsett highlighted the weekend by capturing the 200-meter title with a time of 23.10, marking the third-fastest performance in program history. She followed with an impressive showing in the 100 meters, finishing second overall with an all-conditions personal-best time of 11.23.
Dorsett also played a key role in Georgia Southern's relay success, helping the 4x100-meter team secure a bronze medal finish with a time of 45.14.
Through the outdoor season, Dorsett currently leads the Sun Belt in the 100 meters and ranks second in the 200 meters, continuing to solidify her position as one of the conference's premier sprinters.
