
XC Preview: Eagles Compete in Julius Johnson Invite Friday

The 5K race starts at 8:45 a.m.
STATESBORO – The Georgia Southern cross country team is set to compete in the Julius Johnson Invitational, hosted by Mercer and Middle Georgia State University, Friday morning at Georgia Premier Cross Country Course in Macon. The women's 5K race starts at 8:45 a.m.
Georgia Southern opened its season Sept. 2 by finishing fourth in the Valdosta State Border Clash, and the four of the five student-athletes who competed in that event will run again for the Eagles, led by Lily Ball. Ball took seventh in her Eagle debut.
Following Friday's race, the Eagles return to action at the Alexander/Asics Invite in Atlanta Oct. 1.
