STATESBORO, Ga. - Georgia Southern baseball hits the road for the first time on Wednesday afternoon, traveling to Mount Pleasant, South Carolina for the first of two meetings. The Eagles enter the midweek after being swept by No. 19 Tennessee this past weekend. GS ranks second in the country in strikeouts over the first weekend, recording 45.
Charleston enters play on Wednesday 2-1, picking up a series win over North Carolina A&T at home. Joseph Mershon leads the way for the Cougars, batting .444 and starting all three games. He scored three runs, homering once and driving in four RBIs.Â
