Cross Country Preview: Eagles Host GATA Classic in Lone Home Meet

STATESBORO -- The Georgia Southern cross country team hosts its only home meet of the 2020 season Friday at the GATA Classic at the Bulloch Disc Golf course.
The 5k women's race will begin at 5:00 p.m. and all athletes will be COVID-19 tested ahead of time. No fans will be allowed to attend.
At the Julius Memorial Classic this past weekend, Merabu Nagwandala placed third overall with a time of 19:11.70 in the 5k race. She was followed by four newcomers placing 14th, 16th, 21st and 28th.
Following the meet, the Eagles will travel to Coastal Carolina for their final road meet of the season on Oct. 16.
