
Men’s Basketball Signs Kaden Archie

Archie was rated a four-star recruit coming out of high school.
STATESBORO – Georgia Southern men's basketball coach Brian Burg announced today that Kaden Archie (Midlothian, Texas/UTEP) has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Eagles, beginning in the 2020-21 season.

Before Georgia Southern: Played in 25 games, making seven starts at UTEP • Averaged 15.9 minutes per game and tallied 89 points (3.6 ppg) with 42 rebounds (1.7 rpg), 18 assists, eight blocked shots and 12 steals • Played in 10 games at TCU in 2018-19 before transferring to UTEP and was eligible to play for the Miners in December of 2019 • Rated a four-star player by 247Sports and Rivals coming out of Midlothian High School • Ranked as the No. 3 player in the state, No. 19 small forward in the nation and No. 84 player in the nation by 247Sports and recognized as an ESPN Top-100 prospect • Averaged 18.2 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.9 blocks per game as a senior • Led Midlothian to a 28-11 record and to the semifinals of the 5A state tournament, the high school's first-ever state tournament appearance • Named to the Conference 5A All-Tournament team following the 2018 UIL Boys Basketball State Tournament • Named the Max Preps Semper Fidelis Player of the Year • Also selected to the All-Region II team and All-District 10-5A as a junior.
