Quotables from head coach Brian Burg
On positives from today's game
"Once again, we distributed the basketball well with 20 assists, and we had seven guys in double figures, so we did share the basketball. We shot great percentages from the field with 60 for the game and 47 percent from 3. Those are some positives, but we're a work in progress. We fight for our culture every single day, and we have a long way to go. I'm disappointed in some of the things we can control, so we need to get better, and we're going to continue to fight for our culture on a day-to-day basis."
On defense
"We need to get better. The technical stuff will come in time, it's just having the mentality that we're going to sit down and guard. We haven't done that yet. It's going to take time, but we have to put in the effort in practice and consistently work to get better."
On two weeks before the next scheduled game
"We're going to prepare to finish out strong academically because finals are just around the corner. But we'll have some time to practice, and we're going to work to get better. We're playing against a good A-10 opponent in Davidson. It's a great opportunity for us to get better, and that's what we're going to focus on."
Next Up
The Eagles are scheduled to travel to longtime Southern Conference and current Atlantic 10 competitor Davidson Dec. 11.
