Cross Country Preview: Eagles Compete in Final Regular Season Meet

STATESBORO -- The Georgia Southern cross country team competes in the final regular season meet of 2020 Friday at Coastal Carolina at the Chanticleer Challenge.
The 5k women's race will begin at 4:00 p.m. and all athletes will be COVID-19 tested ahead of time.
Over the course of the season, Merabu Nagwandala placed third overall with a time of 19:11.70 in the 5k race in Macon and first at the GATA Classic in Statesboro with a time of 18:58.9.

"I was very happy with our performance. We came out and competed really well against a conference opponent. We are ready to roll into the SBC meet."
Following the meet, the Eagles will compete in the Sun Belt Conference Championships Oct. 31.
