Cross Country Wins Second Straight

Conway, S.C.The Georgia Southern cross country team won a second straight meet Friday at the Chanticleer Challenge 2020.
Merabu Nagwandala led all runners with a 20:24.2 time bringing home first for her second time this season.
Taking home 3rd, 4th, and 5th places were Abbey Arnett (21,40,4), Emma Peluso (21,40.6), and Hannah Wise (21.4.0).
The Eagles scored a total of 22 points against The Citadel (33), and Francis Marion (70).
What coach Wes Penberthy had to say:
"I was happy with our performance. We came out and competed really well against a conference opponent. We are ready to roll into the conference meet."
Next up, Georgia Southern will compete in the Sun Belt Conference Championships Oct. 31.
